MIKMOD focuses on supplying simulation models for the development and application of microsimulation and typical case models. The goal is to provide strong policy support for the German Federal Administration. Simulation models include--a microsimulation model for the analysis of the 'BAFÜG training assistance act' (BAFPLAN), including a model for East Germany, a DSS for analyzing direct and indirect transfers to families with dependent children, (APF), including a microsimulation model for estimating program costs and distributional effects as well as a typical case model for the various pension systems in Germany (ASA).
